About the Artist

Born and raised in the Swedish archipelago, the ocean is in Liz's soul. The last three decades though, she's lived far away from it, which is why she says her gratitude is immense every morning she gets to wake up to all the coastal beauty of southeast Georgia, USA. It is the inspiration for her paintings, focusing mainly on landscapes, seascapes, and birds, and she adores shadows, reflections, and light. Despite having always dabbled with some kind of paint, she didn't get serious about her art until 2021 when she started working in watercolors. This elusive, transparent medium that every day makes sure we know that it has an exasperating mind of its own. Although mostly self-taught, local artist Sherry Egger has been instrumental in Liz's progress.
